By Holly Franklin (editor) As an editor, I receive all kinds of articles and photographs for our newspaper. In the interest of saving time/energy/heartache for me, as editor, and you as article writer and submitter, I thought it prudent to outline what I would like in the way of submissions and photos. Articles of interest and relevance to Puslinch are welcome, always.
In order to expedite this process, here are some guidelines: |
- We prefer to receive articles as email attachments, in Microsoft Word. Our computer will not open WordPerfect or any other vehicle. It insists on Word.
- Documents should be typed in Times New Roman font, 9 point size, single-spaced.
- If an article is longer than 500 words, we will make every effort to publish it in its entirety. If we are unable to do so, it may he continued into the next month's issue.
- Letters to the Editor must be signed and have a telephone number available before they appear in the Pioneer.
|
- Photographs should be originals, or submitteded on a disk. Please DO NOT EMAIL PHOTOS. Some of the photos take up to 45 minutes for us to download - very frustrating when we are working on a tight schedule. In addition, our printer has difficulty reproducing already scanned photos via email - the quality suffers each time a photo is scanned.
- Deliver your original photograph(s) and/or disks to the Puslinch Library. Frankic Shaw, our librarian, will put it in the Puslinch Pioneer box and see that it gets to the correct person.

We are very grateful to our readership and others who take the time and effort to write for us -- without you, our terrific community paper would not exist. Thank you!!!
